THE CEREMONY
We invite you to be fully present during our ceremony, we want to see your faces not your devices! We ask that our guests do not take photos or recordings of the ceremony, and to please turn off all cell phones and cameras. We will have designated photographers and videographers that will capture these moments, and we promise to share those with you!
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

PARKING
Street parking is available, and we will have an attendant there to direct you at the start of the event.
CARSHARES, TAXIS and SHUTTLES
The venue is in a rural area just outside of Calgary. As such, taxis and carshares can often be slow to arrive, especially on a busy Saturday night. We have arranged a shuttle from the venue to the hotels (Sheraton West, and Sandman West), with rides approximately every 40min between 11PM and 3AM. If you’re planning on securing a carshare or taxi, we recommend you take the shuttle to the hotels, where carshares and taxis are more available.
WHERE ARE THE CEREMONY AND THE RECEPTION TAKING PLACE?
The entire event will be held at the residence of the bride’s parents, the address is on your invitation. The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be held in a Marquee tent.
WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?
We’ve scouted a couple nearby accommodations for you. This is the busiest week of the year in Calgary! Please book early. Or don’t and sleep on the ground ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CEREMONY?
After the ceremony, the wedding party and family will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can stick around the venue as beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. If you’d prefer, guests are welcome to leave after the ceremony and return before the start of the reception.
CAN I TAKE AND POST PICTURES OF THE WEDDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Our ceremony will be device free, so we ask that you do not take photos for the duration of the ceremony. You are welcome to pull out your devices after the ceremony, and request that you tag any photos you post with our wedding hashtag #trueloveskissick, so we can see all your photos!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
As fancy as you wish, and we encourage colors on our big day! The celebration will be held outdoors on grass, so ladies (or men!), we recommend a wedge or block heel over a stiletto.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE THIS TIME OF YEAR?
Calgary boasts beautiful weather in July, with daytime temperatures often in the low-mid twenties (Celsius). Calgary temperatures can dip to the mid-teens in the late evening, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl. We occasionally get short sun showers or thunderstorms in the summer months. The ceremony is planned to take place outdoors, and the reception in a covered tent. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the tent. In the event of a thunderstorm, the event will move indoors.
ARE THERE ANY COVID RESTRICTIONS?
We ask that all guests be prepared to show proof of vaccination at the door. For the health and safety of our guests, please stay home if you are feeling unwell on our big day.
